Hidden in the chassis of a tourist, occupied by one of those arrested, have seized tools used to violate the establishments and objects from theft

One of those arrested has been remanded in custody

The Civil Guard of the Region of Murcia, in collaboration with the Local Police of Jumilla, has developed the operation RABINA, an investigation that has allowed to clarify, until now, a fortnight of crimes of robbery with force and robbery committed in establishments commercial of Jumilla.

Various tools used to commit the robberies have been seized and perfumes, photo cameras, lottery tickets and cash have been recovered.

Two people - males, Spaniards, aged 31 and 43, and neighbors of Jumilla - have been arrested as alleged perpetrators of the crimes of robbery with force and robbery with violence.

One of the arrested, who is attributed the robbery to a commercial establishment, has been remanded in custody.

The investigation began last May, when business owners of Jumilla reported to the Civil Guard thefts committed in their establishments.

These facts were acquiring a notorious relevance due to the recidivism of the thieves, who managed to commit up to eight robberies in the same week and even four assault attempts in the same night.

The ocular inspection of each of the establishments allowed the agents to conclude that there was a common pattern, which led to the suspicion of the participation of at least one person in all of them.

Expert in removing the bowls from the locks

As it was determined, the suspect had perfected a modus operandi consisting of opening the doors of the premises by removing the bowls from the locks.

Effectively and meticulously, he used the right tools to extract them and get rid of them, with the supposed intention of preventing their discovery and subsequent analysis.

Once the signs of the crime scenes were gathered, the Benemérita, together with the Local Police of Jumilla, established intensive police devices in the most affected areas, which allowed the identification of two people, with a bulky criminal record, on which they focused the investigation.

Thus, last Tuesday, day 6, these operations were positive when the agents surprised one of the individuals while accessing an establishment in a central street of the municipality.

Then shouts were heard and the individual fled the scene, at which point he was intercepted and arrested in flagrante delicto as an alleged perpetrator of robbery with violence and intimidation.

The victim of this assault had to be taken care of due to the injuries caused by the robber.

Stolen objects hidden in the chassis of a tourist

The next day, another police device allowed the location of a vehicle occupied by the second suspect, so it was intercepted by the Local Police.

In the tourism several objects were seized, some of them hidden in the chassis, that once examined allowed to clarify eight robberies, one of them committed the previous night.

In that act, the driver was arrested - a Spaniard, Spaniard, 43 years old and a resident of Jumilla - as the alleged perpetrator of a continuous crime of robbery with force.

The operation RABINA has culminated with the clarification of 14 crimes of robbery with force and of a crime of robbery with violence and intimidation, criminal actions that had been taking place continuously and that generated social alarm among the merchants of Jumilla.

One of those arrested, after being brought to justice by the alleged perpetrator of robbery with violence and intimidation, has been remanded in custody.

The second has been placed at the disposal of the Juzgado de Instrucción No. 2 of Jumilla on the morning of today, day 09.
