The Alquería will organize next Sunday December 2 the first edition of the Day of Gastronomy and Live Art, which has been presented today at the social premises of the hamlet by the mayor of Jumilla, Juana Guardiola, Councilor for Culture, Pilar Martínez , the pedáneo, Nicasio Tomás, and the president of the Association of Rural Women, Antonia García.
The idea comes from the neighbors with the objective of giving activity to the hamlet in winter and will consist of the installation of different huts that will offer traditional Jumilla gastronomy: mortirigüelo, balls, crumbs, gazpachos, cheese with tomato, michirones, paella, torrijas , fried milk and colostrum.
They will be accompanied by wines from Bodegas Juan Gil, Olivares, Viña Elena and Puntillas.
The artistic part will be made by Mario Company, Las Encebras Theater, Jumilla Artisans Association, Vicente Palao, Painting Workshop for children by Mari Carmen Marcos, Hypnos Cultural Association, Fran's Workshop, as well as 'Recycling' workshop and samples of photography and painting of several artists and the Rural Women of La Alquería.
Tickets are priced at 10 euros and will go on sale starting today.

The mayor of Jumilla, Juana Guardiola, has congratulated the neighbors for the initiative.
"It is a satisfaction to see that we are fulfilling the marked objective of giving a boost to our districts, improving them and counting on them in the different programming of activities in the municipality and collaborating in all the projects they have," he said.
