The Department of Public Health and the Local Board of Jumilla of the AECC have prepared five activities to commemorate the International Day against Breast Cancer (October 19), which have been presented this morning by the councilor of the area, Lucía Jiménez, the president of the AECC of Jumilla, Dami Herrero, accompanied by the secretary of the association, Josefina Martínez.
They will begin next Monday the 15th at 12 noon with the placement of the pink ribbon representing the fight against the disease on the balcony of the City Hall.
On Tuesday morning there will be information tables and the sale of material to raise funds in the Food Market and in front of the Vico Theater.
A talk by Dr. Thelmo Alejandro Quirós of the Oncology Service of the Virgen de la Arrixaca Hospital has been scheduled for Wednesday.
It will be at the Roque Baños Cultural Center starting at 7.30 pm with the title 'Breast cancer.
Early diagnosis and current survival '.
On Thursday there will be a program on Radio Jumilla from 10 to 11 hours with testimonies from affected women.
The activities will close on Sunday 21 with a march to the Castle, which will start at 10.30 am from the Campos de Jumilla cooperative and end with the representation of a pink ribbon, so it is important to wear a shirt or handkerchief of this color .
