Coinciding with the celebration of World Tourism Day (September 27), the Mayor of Jumilla, Juana Guardiola, presented this morning the new website www.jumillaturismo.es, a modern portal, easy to use and intuitive, fast loading and with promotional link to the English page www.jumillatoday.com.

She has been accompanied by the head of the Tourism Service, Ángel Pérez, the area technician, Josefa Pérez and the representative of Spain Today, Mark Pender.

The new website has been developed by José Fernández, through a grant that allowed him to contract for six months, and is presented as "a new impulse from the Local Government to the area of Tourism of the municipality, now reaching the segment of people speaking English. "

From www.jumillaturismo.es you can know all the events that take place in the municipality, the opening hours of museums and tourist spaces, as well as make reservations in the different experiences and packages that offer wineries, oil mills or wine shops.

It is also offered as a guide to hotels, rural houses, bars and restaurants with links to their booking websites and social networks.

The new website allows you to discover the different thematic routes offered by Jumilla, its festivals and traditions, its cultural and natural heritage, as well as its gastronomy, including even the recipes of typical dishes.

It is possible to consult updated plans and download guides, videos and tourist brochures.

The content in English can be found in a tab that links to the web www.jumillatoday.com, which appears in the top places of search engines like Google with "texts written by English for English," as highlighted by Mark Pender.

Since the content is available in this language, visits have tripled and Jumilla's profile is increasingly positioned in the English-speaking market.
