The Olympic Pool has saved 90% of water this summer compared to 2015 (25/09/2018)

The Olympic Pool of the Municipal Sports Center La Hoya has saved 90% this year this year compared to the year 2015, the last one in which it was opened before its integral renovation.

The maintenance consumption of that summer was 36,490 cubic meters of water while this summer was 3,647, 51 cubic meters per day of opening, being 468 in 2015. The saving was 32,843 cubic meters in the entire period, whose cost would be more than 38,584 euros.

The filling consumption has been similar, counting the installation on both dates with the same measurements.

"This data makes clear the need that we find ourselves without knowing it in advance or having it planned, nothing else to take charge of the Government, to build a new Olympic vessel." To the alarming losses of water was added the danger that could be for the bathers ", has highlighted the mayor, Juana Guardiola.

For his part, the Councilor for Sports, Juan Manuel García, has offered the assistance data after just over two months of opening this year 2018, which has been 25,306 people, approximately double that in the last two years in the that the installation was opened without the Olympic vessel running.

Likewise, a thousand more people have gone through the box office than in 2015, the last year that was opened at full capacity.

"These figures show that the commitment to build a new Olympic pool was more than right," he said.

Finally, he has informed that since yesterday the Municipal Heated Swimming Pool has been in service, which has again different courses and modalities, besides the possibility of free swimming.
