The Ministry of Development and Infrastructure claims to the City of Jumilla the approval of the agreement for the improvement of the 'road of the Carche' (RM-A15), which joins Jumilla-Pinoso, and the link with the A-33 highway can be put out to tender the works.
The agreement was reached in May and involves a global investment of some seven million euros to improve the first 8.9 kilometers of the road that will expand the width of the platform to 9 meters.
The aforementioned agreement establishes that the Ministry drafts the improvement project and the link, and finances 5.2 million euros, while the City of Jumilla assumes the management of the availability of the necessary land to carry out the work and contributes 1 , 1 million euros.
For their part, the entrepreneurs will finance the remaining million euros.
The Director General of Roads, Francisco González Manzanera, today asked the Mayor of Jumilla, Juana Guardiola, "maximum speed" in the approval of the agreement for the integral improvement of the RM-A15, "essential step to start the tender of two of the four sections in which the performance is divided ".
"It is urgent that the Consistory speed up this process immediately so we can develop this much needed infrastructure for improving the safety of neighbors and heavy vehicles related to the winery industry," argued the CEO, who stressed that the Community " is fulfilling the agreement in its entirety, and employers are waiting for the Town Hall to formalize its approval. "
