General satisfaction of the local government for the development of the Fair and Festivities 2018 (20/08/2018)

The mayor of Jumilla, Juana Guardiola, the Councilor of Celebrations, Pilar Martinez, and the Councilor for Services, Francisco Gonzalez, today made an initial assessment of the recently completed Fair and Festivities 2018, showing their general satisfaction for the development of the same .

The mayor has highlighted the "shared effort of all those who to some extent organize and participate in the Fair and Fiestas", thanking their contribution to benefit them.

"Between all we have been able to carry out some great parties, so I thank the capitals, all the staff of the City Council and Jumillano and visitors in general," he added.

Similarly, Juana Guardiola stressed that it has been "the quietest fair in recent years", as far as incidents are concerned.

More than 6,000 people at concerts

70,000 more kilos of garbage

Councilman Services, Francisco Gonzalez, has reported that during the 10 days of parties have collected 70,000 more kilos of garbage than usual in a similar period of time.

He has highlighted the work done by the staff of his council from long before the start of the holidays with the assembly of infrastructures and the Source of Wine.

"The work continues now with the dismantling and cleaning of everything for the return to normality, during this week work is being carried out on the streets adjacent to the itinerary of the Cavalcade of the Wine," he added.
