The third edition of the Nazareth Project is officially presented in Jumilla (15/05/2018)

The City of Jumilla yesterday welcomed the presentation in the municipality of the third edition of the Nazareth Project, carried out by the Councilor for Social Policy, Salvi Pérez, the director of Cáritas Jumilla, Jose Abellán, the coordinator of the Social Services Center of Jumilla, Vicente Martínez, and the work counselor of the program, Marisol Ibáñez.

It is a project to improve employability that has the collaboration of the City Council and is co-financed by the European Social Fund, the Murciano Institute of Social Action and managed by Cáritas.

The objective is to provide support in their processes of incorporation into the world of training and employment to young people between 16 and 29 years old enrolled in the National Youth Guarantee System and in a situation of social vulnerability.

During the current 2017/18 school year, 80 young people are being intervened individually.

30 of them (15 from Jumilla and another 15 from Yecla) are receiving qualified scholarship training in 270 hours of upholstery in which they are also prepared for the tests of key competences organized by the SEF.

From the Social Services Center of Jumilla, the Nazareth Project is derived to young people who, due to their characteristics, fit in it and also follow up to achieve the maximum effectiveness of the program.

This year, talks and workshops have already been offered with the aim of enabling participants to expand their knowledge in ICT and in terms of gender equality and opportunities.

In addition, from the Civil Guard of Jumilla have offered advice to raise awareness among young people about a good use of new technologies and social networks.
