The Socialist Group will ask the Regional Government the implementation of saving measures and proposes a commission to study local average (25/05/2010)

The Jumilla socialist municipal group will ask the Government of the Autonomous Community of Murcia the implementation of savings measures within an austerity plan.

To this has filed a motion to be discussed in full.

This motion will ask the 15% reduction in the salaries of senior posts and direct appointment of regional administration and regional deputies, as well as the elimination of 50% of the offices and places of direct appointment of Regional Government .

Also requested a Restructuring Act and Public Sector Regional Sanitation to virtually eliminate public enterprises, foundations and other entities that now exist in numbers greater than 100, and providing, in many cases, the same services as the Community itself autonomous, and the reduction of 15% of all current expenditure of the Autonomous Community and the elimination of the diets of the Councils and Regional Advisory Councils.

In the proposal argue that "since the summer of 2008 we are experiencing the crisis more serious and complex lasts 80 years.

The Socialist government has sought to respond to every unexpected challenge and has done generally in line with other European governments, but considering the circumstances and steps have been taken with the various problems posed by each stage of the crisis. "

They add that "these important steps to offset the sharp decline in activity and social protection while preserving to the massive job losses, have had their effect on the deficit and now we must make special efforts and extraordinary mitigation."

They also assert that "until now required the injection of public funds to maintain the activity but it is time to phase out progressively the stimulus and focus on the fiscal adjustment once the recovery is in sight."

For the PSOE in Jumilla the crisis is affecting most of Murcia, a product of the growth model of PP, we are the region where unemployment has grown in recent years and we are 20 points of the Spanish average per capita wealth however, the regional waste management has generated, as the Socialists, a fall in public investment 50%, a debt of the Autonomous Community of Murcia providers and companies of 1,500 million euros, a social policy, education, health, dependency, non-contributory pensions, etc .- has been located in the tail of all the Autonomous Communities.

Jumillano socialists believe that "the regional administration is being funded with money that comes from the Government of Spain to apply the Dependency Law, but not used for that purpose."

Also note that "the regional government policy causes can not be applied 2 .0 School program as well as a control in the regional television spending has cost 45 million euros, with a gross annual cost per household EUR 152 per year, while the Spanish average is 119 euros. "

Creation of a commission

In this sense, the Municipal Group Socialist Jumilla has requested the creation of a commission to study and application of Royal Decree Law 8 / 2010 of 20 May.

The text of this proposal indicates that "dated May 24 has been issued by Royal Decree Law 8 / 2010 of May 20, by adopting special measures to reduce the deficit, taking into account that some they affect and can be implemented in the municipalities, both in terms of personnel, reduction of current expenditure and others, is what the Socialist Municipal Group proposes:

"The creation of a commission to study and implementation of this Royal Decree, which shall consist of the mayor or council appointed by him, the three speakers of local political groups, a representative from each branch union representation at City Hall and the council staff and finances.

This committee may be assisted by the municipal officers that it deems appropriate. "

On amendment of PP

As to their assessment on the amendment presents the Popular Party to this motion regarding the potential cuts in the city of Jumilla, the Socialist Group said that the measures taken must be agreed by all parties against them affected by Royal Decree, in line with the Federation of Municipalities, and that this has been asked to create a study group and in which are represented as the three political groups and representatives of workers.

Manifest in the Socialist Group, which not only cut it apply to what interests the PP of Jumilla, instead we must consider other measures that can also mean savings and see what amounts are lowered, as auxiliaries to the political groups (personal trust), grants to local groups, etc.

but always through dialogue and consensus, not unilaterally.
