Erich Stegmann, polio victim, was deprived of the use of his hands and built a thriving career as a painter with his mouth in Germany.

The main objective was to commercialize his work playing his original paintings on calendars, greeting cards, pictures and illustrating books.

The result of this initiative became an exclusive worldwide art movement, being present today in 74 countries with nearly 800 artists.

In Spain was founded in 1957 when contacted Stegmann Parra Manuel Rivera, who became the first Spanish artist of the Association.

The headquarters are in Madrid and is responsible for the dissemination and distribution of works of artists across the country.

The aim of the members of the Association is able to live on their effort and their work, through the acceptance and recognition of the quality of their work.

His only source of income is the sale of the products (cards, calendars, prints, books ,...) reproduced from originals painted with the mouth or foot.

Association membership is open to anyone who has lost the use of hands and wants to paint holding the brush with the mouth or foot.
